A view from another land

Earlier in February I stayed in a village in Poland.  Several hundred people live there with around 10 dogs. I say “live with” because the dogs didn’t seem to belong to anyone in particular! Of course, here in England we would assume the dogs were strays, but I was fascinated to see that the dogs never left the village centre, greeted every car that came or went and knew where every water bowl, sunny spot and doorway was!  The dogs seemed to be Collie/Jack Russell/unknown mix of a whole variety of shapes and sizes!  But they were all friendly and humans and dogs live quite happily alongside – lovely to see.
